The Zoll TSO Aviation Battery was specifically designed and approved for use in Zoll AED's meant to be installed in civil aircraft, specifically the Zoll Aviation AED Plus, not the regular Zoll AED Plus. This means that this battery has earned an FAA Technical Standard Order and has met Minimum Operational Performance Standards (MOPS) for specified materials, parts and appliances utilized on civil aircraft.

This is only necessary for batteries in AED's installed in commercial aircraft, not personal AED's carried on board.
